Benefits of vipassana

Vipassana meditation is a safe practical method for liberation from suffering. Awareness of the active expressions of the nature of the mind allows one to see the roots of distractions.

It has been established that the combined use of perfect methods of meditation creates favorable conditions for recognizing the nature of consciousness.

Vipassana retreat is a valuable opportunity to temporarily let go of all old habits in order to open up to new and unique experiences and get to know the real you.

Our expertly facilitated retreat program combines the buddhist practices of Samatha and Vipassana meditation.

We will start our retreat with Ayahuasca Ceremony led by our Master (participation upon your wish), which will help you to start your practice more effectively. You will be going through the whole self-transformation journey, that will lead you to become stronger, more centered and peaceful.

To support your stay and cultivate more self-awareness and mindfulness, we employ the practice of silence every day, and work with no more than 10 guests at a time to help you to immerse yourself into the meditation and clarify your practical doubts.

We offer a safe, supportive environment for introspection, transformation and connection.

What to expect

Food

Diet

We will be having two delectable vegetarian/pescatarian meals daily with fresh fruits and veggies straight from retreat center garden and the local farmer’s market. The meal plan is designed to maximize your energy. Some dishes are reflections of Peruvian cuisine while other meals are inspired by the produce in season.

Cost of participation

The cost of participation in the retreat consists of two parts:

1. $70/day — fee that rented Retreat Center (Pachamama wasi) charges for accommodation and food for each participant.

2. Donation — for the retreat program itself.

It is important for Vipassana to be offered for donation, and not provided to generate private financial gain. This is the purest and most karmically beneficial path. The donation aspect allows both the organizers and the participants to show pure and sublime intentions.

As participants in the retreat, there is the opportunity to touch knowledge without a consumerist expectation. As only the basic costs have been covered, going into the retreat the expectation of input from the organizers is only to provide this basic service, and then the exchange is equalised. Whatever occurs above that is at the discretion of the participant. It means that you yourself, based on the results of the retreat, have the right to evaluate how valuable the experience was for you and show adequate generosity for yourself so as not to devalue your experience.

There will be opportunity for you to make whatever donation you feel moved to give at the end of the retreat.

If you have specific questions you can reach us by WhatsApp: +1 (747) 367 9049.

This Vipassana retreat changed my life - it gave me a foundation for my whole life, a foundation that was missing before. Mikhail is a teacher on par with Buddhist lamas, he explains the path of Buddhism very well, and shows how to integrate the Buddhist worldview and practices into everyday life. And this is priceless!
